Curly & Matt

(Spoilers for April 2002 Coronation Street)

I like the conversation in the creche between Matt & Curly.

Curly: "Could you be a dad?"

Matt: "I don't think Charlie would like to be a housewife & mummy. I could do what you did though"

(Curly was a house husband & daddy while Emma went to work before they swapped because Emma was finding work stressful & Curly was bored at home)

I like how it breaks the sexist stereotypes to show that men can do the 'woman' bit & women can do the 'man' bit.

Charlie is having an abortion though so he's not going to be a dad of any kind unless he has an affair...
