HERO Chs. 86 & 87

Yay new HERO translations are out today! If you know me from the Vent app then you might have seen a post or two about this series because it's the only manga I'm currently reading. I might do an introductory post about it later but this is mostly for myself and I'm starting right in the middle of the manga it'd be so confusing ;;

Link to the Mangadex page jic! Warning it's about riichi mahjong so if you don't know anything about the game you might get lost (though that didn't stop me from reading TEN and Akagi a long time ago, which is why I'm reading this now hehe)

I think using Spacehey as my platform for these blurbs works a lot better cause I can just post some screenshots and be like "hey look at this 👉". Just gonna see how it goes so sorry that my formatting is bare bones

I feel so bad for Kishibe these last couple of chapters he's just getting bodied this whole match and all his boyfriend can do is watch in horror

(obligatory small kishibe + bonus hiro)

despite all that though it has been neat seeing him on his own at the table (aside from the first round where he was basically shoved aside in favor of what Kano and Saeki had going on)

(this one is all the way from chapter 66 but it's still my fave I love you Kishibe)

and at the other table:

Maeda goes so hard in this chapter with the metaphorical imagery but this panel is so funny to me because now I'm thinking that characters always do this blank stare as the visual metaphors are taking place.

I've said this before but Ken in the sequel is so ugly 😭 like it totally makes sense for him to dress like a jerk-off now but still

These posts are probably going to end up as nothing burgers but I literally have no one to talk with about my gay mahjong manga. If you actually read this I'm sorry I owe you a fudge sundae from McDonalds or something 🙇🙇

dsgjlkgsf that's okay! letting you know that it's a sequel to TEN, but it does bring up/explain moments within so that you don't have to read through TEN necessarily ^^
