TV in my room

Well, it's technically not a TV but a 24" Dell LCD monitor - my friend helped me set it up in my room, on the wall above my desk. It's attached to a monitor arm connected to a bracket that's been screwed into the wall directly, which keeps it quite secure. It has a pretty good range of motion with a decent tilt as well, which I appreciate. I'm just so happy to have so much more screen real estate! It's really super cool. Plus, the linux laptop I'm running detected it pretty much immediately and set it to its native resolution (1920 x 1200) without any fuss whatsoever!

I'm using the Dell as my main workstation screen - the display comes out of the Toshiba laptop from my previous blog post, using not-exactly-VGA. I have to lean back a little more with a pillow under my neck to support it but it's not so bad. The office chair that I use at my desk is more than comfy enough. Although, I have been searching for its replacement for some time now.

Anyway! Just wanted to post this little update. I feel so much more productive already with twice the screen space.
