{music plays loudly}

Girl #1: “hey there you are we have been looking all over for you!” The girl wearing black leather  short dress approaches hastily toward Julie, holding another girls hand as they push through a few members of the crowd. “You see, Gabby, I knew we’d find you at the bar,” as they both took their seats on each side of Vanessa.

Gabby: “yeah! This is where you were this whole time?”, she leans forward to talk to Girl #1, “I swear, Tony, I checked here like 3 times.” Gabby turns her attention back to Julie, “You had us really worried and scared, girlie”

Tony: “right. Where the fuck is your phone?”

Julie sheepishly pulls it out.

Gabby: “what the Fuck, Nessa.”

Tony: “why didn’t you text or call us back?”

Iulie: “sorry you guys. I’m actually really tired and just wanted to be in my mind a bit and order a drink or two before i head home? I had a long ass day and deserve it.” She throws back a her shot of whiskey as she ask the bartender for another drink.

Tony and Gabby look at each other and signal in agreement: “That’s fair enough,” they both say in unison. “At least let us call you an Uber or Something.”

“No,” Julie responded. “Why would I need to do that? Plus I drove here so what about my car? I can’t go to work tomorrow without it.”

Gabby: “fuck a damn car. What about your livelihood? We can come back tomorrow morning to pick it up.”

Tony: “and fuck that damn job too. It’s holding you back anyways. Just like J—“

Vanessa: “— don’t you dare say his name.”

Gabby: “ but she is —“

Julie: “— and don’t YOU dare co-sign her. I’m just sick of all of this drama.

Just order me the Uber so we don’t have to talk about any of it any further.”

Tony: “all we are trynna say is relax!

Gabby: they are plenty more fishes in the seas of Work and definitely in Love

Julie rolls her eyes and says, “ y’all are right. I’m sorry for getting snippy”

Gabby and Tony: “it’s alright.”

Gabby: “trust we Understand. We’re sorry too.”

Tony: “yeah. We just don’t like how he isolated you from us and kept you all to himself.” The energy between them gotten heavy as Julie just stared at her drink Gabby: “Now let’s go sweat if some stress or Something” while taking Tony’s and Julie hand as they both clink their shot glasses to each other and touch the bar before down them.

The girls dance, gotten wild, and socialized on the floor for a little bit.

Julie: “heeeeeyyyy”

Tony: “hi baby” as she started to dance seductively with Julie.

Julie blushes and plays along: “what time is it?”

Gabby: “it’s 1:10am”

“awh shit,” Julie says with a quick panick tone , “I think it’s time for me to go now.” They make their way To the bar one last time To catch their breath. Gabby pulls out her phone to order Julie an Uber home. And they stay with Julie at the bar chatting until the ride share was close to arrival.

Julie: “how much longer?”

Tony: “What color is the car?”

Gabby: “a black Tesla SUV and its 5minutes away”

Julie orders her last shot of the night. “Okay, girls. This is my cue to leave. See y’all tomorrow morning?”

Tony and Gabby both looked at each other and then back at Julie. All three of the girls broke out into laughter.

Tony: “more like tomorrow afternoon”

Julie starts heading out the door. As she walks out The door entry guy almost bumps into her in his mid-shuffle. “Hey watch out”

She stands outside waiting for her Uber drivers car to reach the front of the line.

A Random elderly looking guy wearing a full business suit walks by her and stops in mid track. He pivots slowly to look back at her: “Hey. Are you alone?” Julie continues to look down at her phone scrolling through her Social medias timeline.

“You’re far to pretty to be roaming the streets outside of a night club alone if you are.” As he starts to take a slight step forward. “So are you al—“

Oh my brother in fucking Christ. You see i didn’t respond the first time. In just want to be LEFT alone.’

Julie backs up one step and answers “No,” In a clear tone followed by a low mutter “obvious shit”

Random guy 1, “oh. Good. Well did you come with a man?”

Julie went back to ignoring the guy again.

Random guy “Well…Do you have a man?”

Julie rolls her eyes while still keeping her gaze on her phone and starts to turn her back towards him. “Well You look cold. I was going to offer my jacket......... ya know that chival—“

“Okay look. I’m obviously good. warm as guck actually. Thanks but no thanks,” she snapped at the strange older man as she pretends to taps confirm in her Lyft app and walks away laughing at the audacity.

5 more minutes passes by, she is looking down on her phone waiting for the Uber guys “I’m here” message.

‘Where the fuck is this guy.’

Some small pale guy wearing all basic grey sweats is walking towards her with eyes dead locked on her. His outfit made him stand out like the rainbow fish vs the school of fish from the children storybook, but lost and confused version.

Some of these characters out here are getting weirder by the second.’

He walks past Julie and she peeped his movement, but he back pedaled to her quickly.

“Hey I have a question.” He said in a genuine tone. ‘Idk how to —‘

“I may have an answer. Wassup?”

FUCK.’

“Did you come here all alone?....with a husband or perhaps a boyfriend rather?” Her facial expression went from bright curiosity to a dead blank one into a subtle leer.

Ew not a-fucking-gain. What the fuck is all of this anyways? First hella pimp and escort energy inside, and now creepy men outside asking me human trafficking probe questions?’

“My group is inside already,” she answered dry. He scurried away aimlessly like a fish trying to escape it’s terrible fate.

A new edition grey sedan pulled up. a 2018-2019 Honda Civic maybe. The car had no Lyft light, but the way it pulled up and stopped infront of her, one can only assume. The vehicles back window dropped down 1/4th and voice came out of it asking: “are you Julie?”

Julie answer the driver back with a sound “yes” and turns back to the Fishy polo sweat creep and answers dryly: “My group is inside already. Is that all you need?” He just darted and

scurried away aimlessly like a fish trying to escape it’s terrible fate. she hastily Moves to get out of the Wild Chaotic jungle of the clubs night life and into the car.

“Hey, Julie?” As she gets situated in the car.

“Yes. This is she.... she hops in simultaneously asking “How has your night been going so far?” And they pulled away from the Jungle night club. “Good. Ready to drive out of this mess we call traffic. How about yours? Did you go in and have fun?”

“Very much so. Great vibes and music was definitely played,” as a bright light scans her her face revealing a faint smile, while trying to get comfortable in the backseat because the reality of the matter was:  Her true was No.

The feelings of pure annoyance came back trying to snuggle with her in the backseat. “I didn’t get to go in like the original plan and the previous plans that were made before the impromptu mission was ruined and out the window.’ Yet she still determined to make the best of her night some how. Some old tunes start playing softly in the background from the radio and she hums softly to them while throwing her head back and resting her eyes to beginning meditating.

After 15 minutes of a 26 minute drive pass by, She opens her eyes. She checks her phone. ‘Damn not one notification.’ And sighs to then look up to her left at an empty seating. The driver unnoticeably looks at her through the rear view mirror as she looks back out her window starts feeling a bit lonely as she is now looking out the moving car window, but that isnt new and she is very aquatinted with Her for that is her lover for eternity. But still, we all wish to have a companion from time to time. The driver can feel and see the longing in her face making note slightly gripping the wheel a little tighter.

A sudden wave of dread succumbed her body. She tried thinking of what it could be, but Couldn’t quite put a finger on it but she ignored it and thought it must be her being overly paranoid as usual. ‘Feelings are all only temporary,’ she says under her breath before throwing her head back and taking a deep breath in. As time passes on, she snaps back into present day. ‘I feel like I’ve been in this car for an hour now. Was I sleep? Am I that tired?” She thinks with a bewildered facial expression, ‘dammmmnnn I gotta do better cause I feel tired and really thirsty.’ she actually looks out the window to see where she is at and the Lyft was making its way to turn onto looking alleyway type of street. ‘This shit is straight out of a horror movie... AND I FUCKING LOVE IT BUTTTTT why?’ And sneakily peers over to check on the driver and their area up front. The dash was slightly dusty but that’s fine, a small quarter sized crack in the windshield. Carpet crumbs visible to her naked eye. ‘Ew. What the hell did I get into? Why is this cars inside look like a fucking 1993 Toyota Camry that was poorly kept?’ And scams over to find a navigation system and her address still the destination ‘I guess the cars gps was cutting corners making the time shorter. Makes sense.’ She un-tensed her body dismissing anxietal thoughts driven by her paranoia. Ahe reopens her eyes yet again for the 3rd time as the car starts to rock and bob up and down. ‘What? I didn’t remember closing my eyes.’ Staring around in frantic confusion this time around. The car starts to slow down.

“Ummmm...” Julie makes a perplex face that screams pass bewilderment. “What is wrong with the car? Do we have a flat or something?” The driver sat there silently with no response. A few moments go in and Julie grew nervous  to speak up, but her anxieties adrenaline kicks in “where are we?” The driver ignores her and proceeded to exit the car to lift the hood. ‘Oooookaaaayyyy. That was pretty weird.’ They slammed the trunk back down and hopped back in to then continue the drive. “Hello? I asked you where are you taking me. At least ans—“

“Stfu”, The driver muttered and placed their finger tips on the volume dial “also you never asked me where I was taking you, you little lonely dipshit. You asked me ‘where are we?’ Those are TWO completely DIFFERENT questions.” And then they proceed to turn up the volume on the radio.

‘What the holy fuck? Why—

Why did he talk to me like that?’

“I want to get out the car,” Julie demands  through the silence. She looks down at her phone to see the words No Service at the top corner of her screen. The time was 11:33p.

“ hmph. Are you really sure abt that?”

She blurted firmly “Yes,” even tho she actually did NOT wanna get out the car and was definitely NOT sure about where she was located, but knew she wanted to get away from the rude driver. They glance up at her through the rear view with a growing grin on their face. Another silent pause occurred and then she realized of course, the driver wasn’t abt honor her request.

                           **click clack**

‘What the fucky fuck’ as she watched the lock go down. She tries pressing the button to unlock her door as well as pick at it with her hands. “No, no no no no.” She hysterically repeats softly under her breath. She tries to lower the window but the door operations weren’t functioning. In lieu of her demand, they placed the child lock on so she wouldn’t have the liberty of letting herself out.

‘What the fuck. What the fuck. What the fuck’

A Stunted Julie tries jerk the car door handle open and kick the windows but nothing seemed to change the circumstance nor the drivers mind.

“If you fuck up my shit, you’ll truly loathe me even more for an eternity.” She disregards his warning and continues to beat on the door.

His grip on the wheel becomes tighter. Julie decided to scream and she instantly regretted it cause the driver came to a screeching halt and her body jerked viciously forward and hit the back on the passengers head rest pretty hard to leave a mark. “What the fuck was—“

The driver proceeded to grab her right by the neck and softly spoke “ I. TOLD. YOU. TO. STOP AND SHUT. THE. HELL UP. so PLEASE BE A GOOD LITTLE SLUT. AND SHUT. THE. FUCK. UP.” They gazed into her fiery eyes as her face reaches purple and he releases her then puts the car back into drive with a satisfied breath out. “Much better now.” and the car ride had a scary dead silence.

“Oh and while you’re back there. Put your fucking seatbelt on. Safety first.”

‘Oh my fucking God....

...... I’m going to Hell tonight.’
