sticking to one subculture

ever since i ever gotten into really looking into subcultures (around like late 2019 early 2020) i never really gotten around sticking to just one subculture one month i might be super into scemo and then for the next three i would be into lolita but tbf i never really had the money to really commit to a style. But as of now ive been looking into gyaru (specifically roma/romantic gyaru) and it’s mainly because i always wanted to find a style that’s sorta hyperfem but not too pink and had more neutral colors and i feel as if roma gyaru fits that for me but to be honest i don’t like wearing skirts plus i don’t really own any which is mainly worn in that style and that’s sort of a problem,,, but i seriously do wanna commit to gyaru because i have been doing my research and incorporating things of the lifestyle into my life but i don’t have the money for the clothes. I only really have casual clothes/basic things but if i can incorporate those into gyaru id really like atleast a little bit of help

You know, who says you need to stick to one style? Obviously when money's tight you can't splurge on ten different styles of clothes at once, but it's fine to bounce around until you find one that fits you, or even to just never setttle on a single one. Enjoy yourself, and express yourself. I think that's the important thing.

In my experience anyone who calls you fake for experimenting and being yourself is projecting. It's definitely difficult though, so I hope you don't have to deal with it in the first place.
