NFTs, are a scam. NTFs, are a fad. NFTs are the building blocks for the greatest leap in the degradation of the modern internet. NFTs are simultaneously useless and dangerous. The initial concept of Web 3, of decentralization, was a noble one. Matrix and Mastadon have already proven the concept's worth. But this? NFTs and Blockchains? This is spitting in the face of the userbase of and the engineers behind the world wide web that we have today. Stop this. Seriously, stop supporting this. The only "web 3.0" you really need already exists in the form of the indieweb. Trust in FOSS, in federation, and in a web made with hands. Not whatever this is.

Fully agree and already made a blog post going into this but I mean what else can an NFT - tech that combines the worst parts of decentralized blokchain and centralized image hosting - be if not a scam?
Aaaaalso Torrents. Torrents are insanely effetive and good tech. Just dangerous if you want executable files.

To be serious then: caffe networks and such. May not be fast but torrents don't drop downloads.
