I feel like SpaceHey as a site has a lot of potential in the current era of social media

Something that I have noticed about social media in the current day is that it is SO bland and toxic and everything looks the same. You don’t really have the ability to customize your profile as much as you would like to, and there’s a lot of social pressure. People won’t be like themselves and worry about how much followers they gain and it can be harder to find friends because of algorithm shit and like on Instagram it seems the only way you can find people is through hashtags.

MySpace has turned to shit and isn’t what it used to be (I’m only 16 so I only know what MySpace was like in its heyday through pictures) and now that SpaceHey is here, in the current era of social media, it’s quite helpful, especially for Gen Z’ers I feel who tend to be the people who rely on apps like Instagram so much for validation, etc.

SpaceHey appears to be less toxic compared to Instagram and Twitter and it’s so much easier to find and make friends, and there’s so many options regarding customizing your profile! The bulletin and blog features are so fun too. SpaceHey is basically more fun and enjoyable. Since finding SpaceHey, I’ve been using Instagram less and less and it’s so…nice? Very relieving for my mental health.

Basically, with how social media is nowadays, I feel like SpaceHey is what the internet needs. It would be nice if MySpace was back to what it used to be, but at least we have SpaceHey.
