Finished Sonic Frontiers!

Just finished the latest Sonic game, Sonic Frontiers. Back during it's first reveal, I was not looking forward to it, but now that I have played the game, my first impressions of it were definitely off. While the game's graphical style still look like one of those "realistic" 3D Sonic fangames, I still like the enemy design and the look of the cyberspace levels. The soundtrack is also great (not surprising), and I really like the boss themes in particular. Combat in the game is very simple but the enemies are unique enough to make up for that, and in general combat is a an unexpected highlight in the game, especially against the bosses. The cyberspace levels are probably the lowest point in the game, they vary a lot in quality: some very good, others not so much, and although none are as bad as those in Sonic Forces, some aren't a whole lot better. Running around in the islands is also a fun time. Overall I think Frontiers is a solid, if unpolished, game. If you're a Sonic fan, definitely pick this one up!
