A Friendly Reminder

Emotional boundaries are as important as physical boundaries.

Don't blame yourself for other people's actions.

Don't take on the responsibility for someone else's mental health because it will ruin yours.

Take. Breaks. From. The. Internet. If you're chronically online, you're chronically off of real life, where it matters.

You don't need to tell anyone why or where you're going. That's not anyone's business.

Literally and actually touch grass. With your bare feet. Write something that you'll never publish on the internet.

Look in the mirror every day and find one thing you like about yourself. Make it a different thing every time. It doesn't have to be physical.

Don't reveal too much of your trauma to other people, especially if you can't see their face. It can be taken advantage of. Unhealthy bonds might form. Venting is not always a good thing if it's with the wrong person.

This is stuff I wish I knew when I was younger.
