10.02.2023 decided to start this new town today! i really needed a fresh start on this game, my previous town was getting repetitive n insanely boring... im going to miss my old villagers and my little house but I think this was the best decision I could have taken.
i also decided to establish a few rules for myself on this one: no cheats, and oNLY time skipping if its really necessary. i cant promise ill follow my own rules... i tend to get impatient easily but I hope I can keep up with them as long as possible. after all what made my previous town so boring was the fact i could get everything i wanted with absolutely no effort. i haven't had a town like this in 3 years so this is definitely a challenge!!
so first of all i decided to name my town milanesa because. well. for whoever that doesn't know, milanesas r a very common meal here in argentina. theyr super good n i love them. so i was like "well why not name it milanesa" its kind of a funny name n i am a simple guy okay. i like milanesas so i'll name it milanesa. you guys should 100% try them btw. ALSO kinda related kinda not but since my first language is spanish my game is also in spanish soooo yeah. don't worry tho i'll provide my (hopefully good) translating skills so you guys understand what's going on
SO BACK TO THE GAME i started this save at literally 00:13am i didn't do much today since all of the stores were closed and stuff... but here's a recap:
first of all of course i arrived to the town... in the middle of the night... for some reason. i should be sleeping but i have my priorities (playing animal crossing)
"Welcome to Milanesa! I wish you a pleasant stay!"
"WELCOME!"
at this point i have started so many new ACNL towns that the tutorial is absolutely tedious to go through so i am not showing many screenshots of it sorry. way too boring. basically i arrived here n now im mayor. for some reason. then i had to go speak to tom nook so i could get a house n stuff i actually had no idea where the fuck to place my house before going to talk to him i kind of just wandered around for 15 minutes until i found a place... i think i made a pretty good choice tbh its far away from the rest of the houses but near to the retail shop n the town hall (see the town map i included below for reference)
"Ta-da! Now this terrain is officially yours, Leo."

so then i had this... ceremony thingy... where i planted the town tree n stuff. pretty cool
"And so, the 10th of February of 2023, the mayoralty of Leo in Milanesa began."
i have already included this in the town data but OH MY GOD i got cherry trees. i am SO glad i love cherry trees theyr awesome. and im specially thankful i didn't get apple trees sorry theyr so boring and i always get them

SO THEN i went to my house tent and isabelle gave me this very cool lamp. can't wait until the shops open so i can buy more furniture

so this is pretty much it for now. i will do more stuff later on but it's literally 04:00am as i write this. i should probably be sleeping
THE POINT IS im going to update this in a couple hours whenever i get the chance to play again, hopefully i'll make some progress for now here's the things i plan to do:
meet all of my villagers
visit all the shops n hopefully get some cool stuff
plant more trees n stuff

ALRIGHT! it is currently 11:47am and i've made quite some progress. here's a recap:
i met Savannah!! :D she seems super cool n like her design.
"Mayor! I wanted to give you a warm welcome to Milanesa. I'm Savannah, pleasure to meet you."
this isn't that important but i wanted to show it. i picked up some flowers that were nearby and placed them next to my tent :D i think it looks pretty nice.

then i met Phineas!! he's this guy that sometimes visits town to give you little badges!! pretty cool feature i hope i can collect them all. anywayy i got the "Avid Bell Saver" badge. you might be wondering why the fuck i got this badge if i had exactly 0 bells in my bank account... well that's something i'll explain in a bit i swear it makes sense

afterwards, i spoke to Tom Nook to figure out how much i had to pay for my house. turns out its 10 000 bells... pretty reasonable price honestly
"Alright, whenever you gather the 10 000 bells, come see me."
SO little break from the recap to explain a couple of stuff so this makes sense in the future:
when i restarted my previous town, Tom Nook offered to buy it. since this town was so advanced he offered 999 999 999 BELLS!!! which is an insane amount. then he gave me two options: i could either receive the 999 999 999 bells on one payment, or get 9 999 999 every day for 100 days.
after giving it some thought, i decided i'd rather get 9 999 999 every day so i'd be able to manage them more responsibly. but here's the thing: i also want to organise the way i spend them.
i thought it was only fair for me to direct most of the revenue to anything related to the town itself: Public Works Projects (PWP), Ordinances, and whatever else may contribute. then of course, i also need a bit of money, so a smaller part of those bells are going to be dedicated to upgrading my house. however, i decided that any clothes, furniture and anything else that isn't strictly necessary and is more of a commodity will be bought with the many i've made myself (by selling fruit, seashells, or whatever else). there's no reason why i should actually be doing this but i find it fun to organise stuff n it makes it feel a bit more realistic. and also just bcs its a challenge and its fun okay
OKAY LET'S GO ON with the recap:
so then, of course, i went to go gather some bells! first of all i bought myself a shovel and a fishing rod, and then collected some fruit n seashells + broke some rocks to get bells n minerals.
so after selling everything, i got exactly 10 000 bells! i made the deposit right away n now my house is going to be ready tomorrow!! :D so excited
"Do you have the bells? Let's take a look, yeah?"
"I've finished paying! Tomorrow my house will be ready for me to move in!"
so that's the end of the important stuff. however i did do a couple of extra things!
i found 2 fossils!! i think also a big challenge for this save will be trying to complete the museum. i've actually never achieved it in the past... so i'll put in some effort on this town n do my best to complete it!!

SO while i was looking for some seashells to sell, i ran into Gulliver! i had to try to wake him up like 15 times before he actually did. it was a bit annoying. however he asked for my help! he needed to know where he was headed before supposedly falling off his ship. he told me a couple of stuff he remembered about the place and i figured out it was Scotland! he said he's going to bring me a gift from there so im really looking forward to it ^^
"When I arrive in Scotland, I'm going to show them I can also be a bagpipe master!"
SO that's about it! i didn't do much else today... i'll probably play some more later and update this entry, who knows. i have way too much free time on my hands.
finally, i want to update the to-do list i wrote beforehand:
meet all of my villagers (currently: 2/5)
visit all the shops n hopefully get some cool stuff
plant more trees
get my approval rating to 100% (currently at: 14%)
and here's some bigger challenges:
complete the museum
unlock all the shops
if i get anymore ideas i'll add them in the next entry!!

okay it's still 10.02.2023 SORRY
as i am writing this not a single day has passed since the last update... i am quite an impatient person. i would have normally waited until tomorrow to publish another entry and update you on what i had done the day before but i am way too bored and feel the need to write this nOW
it's not like i have done a lot but i think it's better if i keep everything ive done in a day on the same entry so it's more organized. ANYWAY back to the point
here's what i did in the last couple of hours:
i caught my first fish!!! after writing the last update i realised i hadn't even touched my fishing rod.
i also caught 5 more fish + found the 2 daily fossils i was missing and donated them to the museum. that means i currently have 6 out of the 72 fish and 4 of the 67 fossils available in the game... im getting there guys i swear
ALSO LOOK AT THIS ONE soooo tiny oh my god
i also met 2 more of my villagers!! i LOVE mint she's so cute look at her
lastly i visited all the shops. most of them didn't have much to offer BUT. i did buy these silly looking sunglasses... only because they kinda match with my shoes. okay maybe i need to learn how to spend money more responsibly but i still think they're cool
