To keep with the trend of 2000's social media and technology I would like to make a blog post about something I lost more than a decade ago and still think about to this day; my Green custom ZuneHD...
Back in 2009 I was just starting my new place of employment, and was very dumb with my money. I bought myself a custom 64GB ZuneHD, and had it priority shipped to me. All in all it cost me about $700 buckaroos, but I was absolutely in love with what I got! You would not be able to find me anywhere without 3 things: My Phone, My Wallet, and my Zune! There was so much space that I started downloading some of my favorite videos from Youtube and throwing them on there (e.g. Really funny commercials or Rooster Teeth's Achievement hunter videos). My friend even got me a docking station for the Zune, and I would play music at work, at home, ANYWHERE! Well one day I mysteriously couldn't find my Zune. I searched my apartment, my office, my car, my WIFE'S CAR, and I would always end up empty handed... Before selling my Ford Mustang i nearly took the seats out of the car and searched there, but nothing. I was heartbroken for a couple of months until i thought i had gotten over it.
Over the next few years the thought of my zune would invade my mind. It got to the point where I had dreams of finding it in the simplest of places (my laptop bag, or in the bag of my minivan). I would FRANTICALLY check those spots the morning I woke up, hoping there would be a zune again.
It's now 2023 and I still think of that Zune. I had my name and my Xbox Live gamertag etched to the back of the zune as part of the ZuneHD Custom design. Even to this day I fantasize about being reunited with that Zune, and see what kinda music I had on it before I lost it. I'm sure it's a treasure trove of obscure songs from the time, but that's here and there...
