To look at humans as animals

To look at other humans as animals

I am a stream of logic inhabiting a physical primate

Culture can mean nothing at any time 

I need not restrict my thinking to the language I speak

I need not base my actions on the learned actions of other animals

I need not participate in a global consciousness 

I have a slot of allotted time in this reality

It’s estimated to last around 70 years

It is very hard to obtain that slot, I was very lucky

All of the humans who never got to exist 

All of the minds that were never started

Because life is finite, it can start whenever

Every second in the past is irrelevant 

I am on the clock

The earth cares not if I die

Space cares not if I was born

Yet I sit here now

Resting 

And I feel as though I too do not care
