splatoon blog #3

HEYY GUYS tysm for the comments and stuff on my last blogs, it makes me so happy to see other splatoon fans here :DD hs is being HELL rn but im going to keep blogging 

today i was thinking of off the hook (like usual) but ESPECIALLY about pearl so here's some facts about her i remember off the top of my head C:

1. pearl would prefer getting a gift of flowers than a box of chocolates

suprisingly, pearl prefers getting flowers over chocolates as a gift?? this was mentioned in the hana vs dango splatfest, and when pearl states this she mentions she likes being able to see pretty things over eating tasty things, and that seeing beautiful things cheers her up. (quote: "looking at pretty things and satisfying your heart is what makes you happy!" this was roughly translated but i think you get the point xD)

2. theres a mistake in a few splatfest art with how big pearls ears are?

recently, i was printing out some splatfest art to put on my wall when i realized in the art for adventure vs relax pearls ears are actually bigger than they are on her ingame model?? XD (i was looking back on this and found that this mistake is also in the pulp vs no pulp art) so i cant really tell who was making the mistake here, the splatfest artists or the people who made her model... by the way you can see her tiny ears in the end cutscene of octo expansion when her hair flies up when her special is charged!!

3. one of pearls crowns broke once LOL

i think a lot of people already know this but its still super funny to me so i wanna mention it anyway :')
so basically, in the splatfest art for inner vs outer wear, pearl is shown flying through the hair with her crown midair (she either threw it herself for dramatic effect or it just fell off. i like to believe the first one XDD) and in the next splatfest art (sweater vs socks), pearls crown was shown with cracks in it which is honestly just super funny to me xD

4. pearls newest outfit is most likely inspired by the outside of a spacesuit??

i was looking at the new dlc outfits a pretty long time ago and amidst my SHEER excitement for their return i was looking at pearl and marinas outfits. i believe pearls outfit is based on the outside of a spacesuit and marinas is based on the inside of a spacesuit, and also, marinas hair highlights are purple/blueish with small white dots in them (most likely representing stars) so that made me think are we getting another space thingy for the dlc, just like main story mode?? (ALSO LET ME SAY HOW EXCITED I AM FOR TGIS DLC LITERALLY SHAKING IN MY BOOTS. TREMBLING. I WOULD EAT AN ENTIRE BUCKET OF CONCRETE FOR IT TO BE RELEASED EARLIER THAN EXPECTED)

bonus: pearl apparently owns her own fitness center?? lol

but yeah thats all i can remember off the top of my head XDD please tell me if i got anything wrong or if you have any other pearl/marina facts i might not know of!! cya!!
