Rock is a musical genre (derived from rock & roll) that became popular in the 1950s, with Elvis Presley as one of its precursors, and that arose from the fusion of various styles of United States folklore such as country, R&B and with blues and jazz influences.

I posit the first rock and roll song, the earliest I can find that has all of the elements is Big Arthur Crudup's 1946 song "That's All Right".

Yep, that's the one :)
There are songs back to the 30s with some of the elements, but this one is the earliest with all of them!
