The Sun And I - a poem

Your eyes are the sun, blinding me with a piercing glare.

To look at them, I do not dare.

Your long braids dance like solar flares, incinerating all that stands in their path.

The brave and strong tremble at your wrath.

If you are the sun, then I am the moon. Calm, quiet, and covered in scars.

Merely an admirer of the stars.

I face the earth, searching for someone who believes in me,

But they will never seeĀ

The darkest side of me which I will hide.

When we're together, that's where you shine.
