Dark Pictures Anthology: Season 2 Updates - PT.3

We have received information on the upcoming games for Season 2 of the Dark Pictures Anthology game series, and I think you might want to hear it.

For those who don't follow along with this game series, for better or for worse, I'll give some background information on the series itself. The Dark Pictures Anthology is a series of intense, branching cinematic horror games featuring two multiplayer modes. Each story is standalone and can be played independently, but with friends makes the story even more fun, frightening, or both. The series is planned to consist of eight games, of which four have been released. The Devil in Me is the finale of the first "season" of the anthology, with the upcoming Directive 8020 set to be the season two premiere. Gameplay is an option-based horror adventure, which you get to choose from. Each choice you pick may affect you well or poorly.

Now back to the update.

This is continuing off of another blog entry, check that one out before you read this one!dpa

This logo is definitely unique on its own. For one, it has so letter change to suggest something, but rather a border around it. I thought things like License plates? Street name? Ideas have been thrown around, and I know which of them to believe. One I got off of Social Grep is;

"In the end the curator doesn't cross dumet, preventing him from dying... In the upcoming winterfold game it's hinted that the theme will be zombies...what if something happens to the curator of that game, that causes people not to die, making them zombies?

The reason this is PURE genius is that they have analyzed how Du'Met didn't die, how the Curator doesn't cross him... and how this may have linked? It's just pure brains spilling out! I think it's genius, but maybe I'm wrong. However, one more entry talks about what character should star for us in the game.

"I know a lot of people really don’t want this to be a thing, as children can be a challenge to work within the acting industry, but I’m talking about 12-17. I dunno, it just feels like something new. Assuming Winterfold in the DPU is some sort of park or camping resort, it would only make sense if the protagonists are attendees of such a thing, and maybe it’s a family of five (or less.), which would include a potential child as one of the playable characters. That being said, there’s a 90% chance my prediction above is totally wrong, as I’ve seen many others theorize that the people we play as will be agents of the organization Brookes and Miller are from, or perhaps even a musical band of some sort."

Reading these ideas has me eager on the edge of my seat. What's in store in these upcoming games? Or, rather, what do you think is in store? Comment below and lets see! I'll mention some of you in the next blog I do on Winterfold!

This is my fourth blog on the Dark Pictures Anthology games, should I continue this Diving Deep into DPA series? And what other games would you like for me to Deep Dive on?

This is maaurn, signing off.
