Like I'm seriously still single I'm 16 years old and like I've never had a real "girlfriend" unless that shit in elementary school counts so if anyone has advice on how I can get a gf and any tips because like I moved from gig harbor even though there were girls who I liked and could see myself with I know long distance relationships don't work. Anyways I literally know no one my age here in sequim so that's going to be fun when I go back to public school lol. anyways what are any of y'alls advice on how to get a gf
So firstly, it's completely normal to be sixteen and single. Most people don't find their lifelong partner until they're well into adulthood. But if you're looking for a date, be very very careful. As many ways as there are to love someone, there are more ways to hurt them. Even if you don't intend to.
I would play the long game and get to know someone as a person before I even consider dating them. Get to know their qualities, good and bad, and choose to appreciate them anyone. Aim for friendship. Hang out with them in a group. Be someone they can freely talk about their interests with. Most importantly, embrace the friendship. Even if you're not dating, platonic friendships are extremely precious. Don't ever take your friends for granted.
While you're getting to know them, learn more about yourself. The way others perceive you is a reflection of the way you see yourself, so be confident in who you are, embrace your flaws, but always strive to be better (without beating yourself up for your failures).
So yeah, don't rush it. You have plenty of time and a lot of potential.
