Exploring

A few months ago I went and visited a few places.

Being an American we rarely see sites that are older than a couple hundred years. Although it is a great feeling to see history no matter how long its been, my experience seeing structures built 1000-2000 years ago was really something else. Its something hard to wrap your mind around. On the scale of time its hard to comprehend just how long that is. It feels different. It smells different. I wouldn't say that I'm very superstitious, but hundreds of years of ghosts seem to be watching you while you are there. I felt strangely caught in a space that only existed a long time ago. It was a revelation to me in a way.

I wish there was more time to spend days here, but its difficult to do.
