just finished a great book.

i just finished reading On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous by Ocean Vuong and omg. such a breathtaking read. i read it in about 9 days (give or take a few hours) and was so obsessed with the writing style i stretched out the reading of it because i didn't want it to end </3 ... there were so many aspects of this book that i absolutely adored reading, i literally don't even know where to begin; it was just so masterfully crafted, and in the sentences, you can feel that the author is a true poet. 

i absolutely adore books like this that serve as a true and honest reflection of one's life, one that is raw, horrible, and full of anger, grief, and fear, but also shows the beauty that comes from our horrific experiences and from our trauma. 

if you're in the market for a good read please give this book a try, even if it isn't your style typically i think everyone can find something to be learned in the lines of this book... it's beautiful! ^_^
