so earlier this month I had got myself a cool Jackson Spectra bass :D
she sounds amazing (her name's Roxy) I've been practicing when I could, which is every few days I'd say
I already learned the opening riff to 'where is my mind' by the pixies ^^
I'm in the progress of learning 'cherry bomb' by the runaways >:3
when I get better I'll update again :D

That's so cool!! I have a bass guitar too, I've named Milena. She's red w/ a spiderweb strap.
What else have you done so far? ^_^ I have a few riffs learnt. I recommend learning 12 bar blues and Come As You Are.
"Midnight Blues" by Gary Moore also has an interesting bassline. "Boys Don't Cry" by The Cure is catchy and simple enough to learn. I know it's been a while, so if you want, you should try a song by The Smiths. They're a little complex, but easy once you get the hang of it.
Since you're also in to a little nu/grunge/punk, learning slap bass would also be very cool & useful if you want to learn a Metallica song or something (I've never actually listened to Metallica, so I don't know if they use slap bass)

AAAAA!!!! THAT'S SO COOL TOO!!!! :3 I mainly play a lot of rock and grunge styles of music! I'd say Today by The Smashing Pumpkins would be easy and fun to learn if you need suggestions ^_^ the same goes for When the Sun Hits by Slowdive. Also I love the name you've given your bass along with a spider strap!! It's very unique and definitely a gorgeous piece in person (* ^ ω ^) good luck on learning new songs and progressing musically!!!
