Bathroom ghost

Recently I've heard odd noises from our downstairs bathroom. Little heads up, our downstairs bathroom is really old and never got renovated with the rest of the house for some reason. There are pipes sticking out through the walls, cracked floor tiles, etcetera. It used to scare me as a kid because of this and the noises that came from it. One of the pipes on the left wall was often busted and in need of repairs. Whenever I went in the bathroom it would be making these hissing sounds, like two cats fighting. It used to bother me when I was younger but eventually, I got used to it. That was, until today.

There have been multiple instances where a pipe leaked and caused the shower or sink to go off, but never did I expect something like this. I went downstairs to grab some laundry, the laundry room is also quite old and sits next to the bathroom. I came out of the laundry room with a basket full of warm clothes, fresh from the dryer. I liked the comfort of it so I held one up to my face to feel its warmth. (In hindsight, I looked rather dumb just standing there holding a warm folded shirt to my face but whatever) The familiar hissing of the pipe came from my left, where the bathroom door was slightly open revealing the darkness on the other side. It startled me, but once I recognized it I went back to being calm. I threw the shirt back into the laundry bin while the hissing continued. I stopped what I was doing and stood frozen in place. Someone had said something. The pipe, right? It was just the pipe.

But it happened again.

The hissing picked up in volume as it began to spit words at me. "seven, good riddance, knife, splinter, crack, shatter" All of these were words that presumably the pipe was speaking. I swear I nearly choked on my heart as it practically jumped into my throat. I ran towards the stairs and darted up them, not daring to look behind me and see something there. I sat upstairs for a few minutes.

I forgot the laundry basket.

Unfortunately, I was in need of various articles of clothing that were in said laundry basket. So, practically having a heart attack, I made my way down the stairs and back into the basement. I stared at the bathroom door from across the dimly lit basement. I let out a shallow breath and tried to calm myself when I heard it.

"Tweenty fouur."

Trying to calm myself and make sense of this, I responded without thinking. "Twenty five?"

There was a pause, but the hissing picked up again and continued our conversation. "Tweenty siiix"

The words were long and raspy as if whatever was speaking them was on its last breaths.

"Twenty seven..?" I responded again.

"Tweeentyy eight.." it countered.

And so I stood there as I communicated with the odd voice. Bringing my focus back to the laundry basket, I took a step forward. The hissing immediately stopped. My blood ran cold, had I done something wrong? Suddenly the laundry basket was sent sliding forward, towards me. It stopped at my feet. I couldn't move, I was (as they say) petrified. All I could do was stare down at the neatly folded laundry, no longer warm and comforting as it once was. I blinked hard, grabbed the basket, and ran like there was no tomorrow.

I'm in my room now. This happened about 2 hours ago. I don't know what I just witnessed, or if I'm going insane. I smoke weed but not to this extent- I haven't taken anything for a good few weeks. I don't think ill ever use that bathroom again, but as much as I dread it, at some point I'll have to go down there again.

Please, if anyone can give me advice or some information as to what the hell this thing is- I'll do anything. Whoever or whatever it is just doesn't sit right with me.

I think I have a bathroom ghost.
