Atomic Bonds

Once the way atoms are put together is understood, the question of how they interact with each other can be addressed—in particular, how they form bonds to create molecules and macroscopic materials. There are three basic ways that the outer electrons of atoms can form bonds:

1. Running into one another multiple times over the course of your lives without even being aware of it

2. Being born to people who live in the same house; growing up in a snowstorm ever waxing and waning in intensity you brave together

3. Finding someone whose hands are medicine and words are life itself
