I've seen a Youtube video blaming Y2K fashion for the lack of pockets in trousers.
This is so silly to me :)). Everyone I knew in Y2K-2003 wore combat trousers at some point! It wasn't just unisex, it was that old ladies started to do it as well lol. Cos they were so practical so why not?
Started out as a tomboy/guy trend for youngsters but everyone I knew had their moment wearing them. Think my granddad was the only one who didn't - and he's permaglued to his Wranglers!
Combat trousers in their original form have 6 pockets. In Y2K fashion sometimes they'd have 8. These pockets are deep.
Yes. Skinny jeans existed too. Which don't have pockets and are mostly, but not always (especially for emo boys later into the decade), a girl thing. You'd have more than 1 pair of trousers and if you wanted to have pockets, you'd wear your combat trousers that day.
