1. favorite song of all time?

currently PUBLIC- PRETTY FACE it reminds me of my silly little special interest (starworld) and any girl i find myself crushing on irl. public makes the best cheesy little love songs

2. current favorite song/song you’ve had on repeat?

sleeping with sirens- complete collapse led me into Kellin Quinn Obsession where i’ve been residing for the past while so probably that

3. song you’re listening to right now?

currently bear attack- carnivore (very catchy song and also way more chill than it sounds) but i was listening to iron eyes cody- animals do drugs when i made these questions and it made me think of this question because i really like it

4. favorite song in middle school?

among some others tristam and braken- frame of mind had my little 12 year old heart in a chokehold. edm hyperfixation went crazy

5. favorite song as a kid?

i’m probably forgetting it but i associate of monsters and men- little talks hugely with childhood

6. song you think is underrated?

SO MANY MOST OF WHICH I’LL COVER LATER but going through my playlist les gold- silver platters feels like something that would have the opportunity to get a lot of traction if more people found it

7. song you think is overrated?

i have one in mind but it’d be like committing a crime against one of my friends so. i will skip this question because anything else would probably make me sound annoying

8. favorite lyrics?

“i am free, i am freezing, i am so obscure it’s terrible, and i’m loved” (or just “i am so obscure it’s terrible, and i’m loved”) from the dangerous summer- a space to grow. it’s both relatable and makes me sad but it’s also very motivational. i could write an essay on that line

9. lyrics that you relate to? 

“can you, scotland, save me / crucify my cravings / underneath the castle grounds / i will run until i’m found” from mccafferty- scotland was written for me and no one else and i won’t elaborate

10. lyrics that make you sad?

i’m kinda cheating here but the song with my favorite lyrics as a whole is cake bake betty- the spine song it’s so pretty and sad. i interpret it as being about turning 18 and feeling overwhelmed and taken advantage of but there’s this one part about how everything was perfect as a little kid “on your birthday, you woke up / the snow was on the ground / you opened books and peeked inside / they kissed you on your crown” that makes me want to cry like a little baby sometimes 

11. song you’ve always loved?

i would not be the person i am today if not for the killers- read my mind that song permanently altered my brain chemistry at the age of thirteen and i hold it deep in my heart

12. song by your favorite artist?

my fav band is a solid tie between the dangerous summer and good kid but i’m gonna give good kid the spotlight. their song witches is amazing and just yesterday they released a song called first-rate town that seems like a sequel to witches judging by the cover art and is so catchy

13. song in another language? (if you listen to a lot of music in a specific language that isn’t english use something in a different one)

ssshhhiiittt!- танцы singlehandedly carried me through early covid times i remember sitting through my online classes counting down the minutes until i could listen to it again. i still adore it

14. song you found from a trend but really like?

vundabar- alien blues is like MY little song that i relate to so very deeply even though i found it because everyone was quoting it on social media. i’m guilty of Alien Blues in Character Playlist

15. song you knew before it was cool? (or one that you don’t want to blow up)

generally if i find a song i like it’s because some other song by the artist already did blow up. it’s mostly my fav songs like if any of the songs i hold very dear to my heart blew up i would disappear off the internet

16. song in a genre you don’t normally listen to?

i desperately need to listen to more ska because streetlight manifesto- would you be impressed is SO FUN but the only ska song i know

17. song in your favorite genre?

my favorite genre is indie pop although pop punk is a VERY strong contender and another all time fav of mine is wild party- violet. such a pretty song check them out if you like indie pop NOW

18. song you associate with a good memory?

listening to the oh hellos- thus always to tyrants in the car on a warm february day drinking bubble tea about to go shopping and unknowingly pick up my soon-to-be special interest book from the library. that was a really good day

19. song you associate with a bad memory?

a lot of stuff i listened to in summer 2020 bc that was when i was in the very toxic danganronpa fandom but the neighborhood- afraid makes me worry about being a bad person on top of it so probably that

20. song that gives you nostalgia for a time you weren’t around for?

i listen to state champs- elevated and start missing being a teenager in 2008 like i wasn’t a literal preschooler then and the song didn’t come out in 2013

21. song you’ve heard live?

seeing the killers- mr. brightside live was AWESOME it was their last song naturally. they also played read my mind. great concert.

22. song you need to hear live?

anything by jhariah or sleeping with sirens. i’ll pick debt collector for jhariah bc the energy would be great but i just want to see sws live in general

23. song from your favorite album?

my fav albums are songs about teeth by cake bake betty and reach for the sun by the dangerous summer both of which i’ve already covered songs from but the dangerous summer’s biggest hit the permanent rain is also from that album. i saw them live too and i walked out with the world’s worst case of comphet for the lead singer that is still going strong to this day even though he’s unfortunately kinda weird

24. song that just means a lot to you?

continuing the topic of the dangerous summer I LOVE WHERE I WANT TO BE SO MUCH SO VERY MUCH. i wouldn’t say it’s my number one favorite song of all time but it’s very close and was for a very long time and i owe my entire being to it i think. also the singer is hot.

25. free space! share any other song just because

i have so many i want to mention but other songs special to me are hot mulligan- *equip sunglasses* it’s so fun and catchy and ANGRY and also total tone shift but the goo goo dolls- iris is like the most popular song that i regularly listen to and makes me feel big boy feelings
