It's the way the breeze hits her face.Β
A certain chill that also warmsΒ
the soul deep down into it's abyss.
The moss hanging off the grand oak treesΒ
that stand even after all these yearsΒ
of the world trying to end herself.Β

Stop the pain.Β

In the only way she knew how.

Barefooted. Hair swaying.Β
Branches cutting my legs and arms.Β
Naked, raw.Β
I will run in the thickest of forests in complete darkness if that means I will find you.Β
I've lost you for so long and have been so forgotten.Β
I'm here.Β
To embrace you upon the stars,Β
with our moonlit skin.Β
Tears like waterfalls rushing down our cheeks.Β
I'm here.Β
And I'm sorry.Β
Never will I allow another human presence to tear us apart.Β
To allow distance in our heart.

She was aΒ  flower, wilted and overflowing with loneliness
When a stranger walked barefooted through her forest.Β
In the emense darkness, she took his kindness as villainous.Β
For she had been stepped on plenty,
growing more beautiful each time she had to pry herself
from the dirt.Β
This strange man had fallen in love with her beauty.
He could never understand what made her that way.Β
For he did not care.Β
He wanted to protect her with everything in him
and she could never understand.Β
His pretty delicate flower.
