wait jk
one week post-trackday, overall it was a success. my whole worry about the tread hitting the wheelwell were for naught bc the track surface was actually smooth af so i had zero issues with that all day.
i woke up around 5:30 and started making my way to willow by 6. luckily i'd loaded up the car the night before so that whole part was taken care of already. and EXTRA luckily, i planned ahead well for once and got food the night before as well, instead of spending lots of time and thought on where i can get breakfast on a saturday before 6am. i mean i still ate half the burrito before i went to sleep, but the leftover half was definitely enough to hold me over through the next morning.
there was definitely a bit of traffic around LA already, but it mostly cleared up once i hit the 14. reached rosamond at about 7:30. noe pulled up to the gas station in his FRS as i was topping off gas, and our other friend was just ahead of us in his 8th civic. god there's alot of hair on my headrest.
me and noe made our way to the track, and while waiting in line to pay and get in, the nerves started. it'd been just over 5 years since my first and only track day. i fuckin hope it goes well. as usual, i forgot how to navigate within willow springs once i'm actually in. luckily someone just past the gate filled me in, and it was suddenly obvious and familiar.
we reached the pit area for streets of willow, and made our way through till jared's civic came into sight, luckily with 2 open spots next to him.
this is getting long asf, so to be continued in..maybe pretty soon
