There are thousands of fans who love their idols, but a few go too far ─ to the point where they follow idols into their own hotel rooms, stalk them, sexually assaulting them, camped outside their houses, and posture as vans to kidnap them. This behavior usually falls under "sasaeng fan" behavior. "Sasaeng" is used to define those who violate the privacy of kpop idols, commonly in an illegal way. In one situation, the boy band "BTS" which I'm sure majority of you have heard of, were in the middle of a vlive, when a sasaeng broke into their hotel room. (It was caught on camera as well). attachment 1,attachment 2. It was not one, but 4 sasaengs who broke in, and publicly admitted to being sasaengs. They even began to jump and dance on Jungkook's bed. You may think, the company surely did something, right? That's where you're wrong, the company infact denied the accusations and claimed it was a "staff member". These companies do no good for the k-pop idols under their company. These BTS sasaeng fans are not the only ones that have done something outrageous and terrifying. There was a van very similar to the boy band, "EXO" 's manager's van, and it was owned by a sasaeng. The EXO members had almost gotten into it, until the manager stopped them from entering the unknown van. They've also had a break in as well, where the sasaeng had installed microphones in every room and released the audio files of them talking to each other, and een singing in the shower. BTS and EXO are not the only k-pop groups that have encountered these type of situations.

Moving on, death threats are also quite common in the kpop industry. Constant criticism and death threats are the reason why few idols choose to leave their groups, or end their own lives. attachment 1. Haters and so-called "fans" are always trying to find a reason to wish death upon a kpop idol wether it's for the way they do something, speak up on a topic, or dress. Of course if the idol is younger than 18, the way they dress should be appropriate, but that is never an excuse to wish death upon an idol. And most of the time, its the label or company that they're under that makes them dress like that. For the way an idol does something.. take Jang Wonyoung for example. She held a strawberry with 2 hands; then ate it. It started spreading throughout social media, and eople criticized her, sent her death threats, and just overall sharing malicious comments. The hate started even before the strawberry incident, and the reasons as to why are just beyond unacceptable. I know some companies are pressing charges against the death threats, but why some? The standard should be every company/label pressing charges against those who post serious death threats.

In order for these idols to even become idols, they're forced to go through hours (9-10 a day), weeks, and months of exhausting training with the strict diets that are sometimes unhealthy for them.. These diets can cause health risks, but it's all to suceed as an k-pop idol. Besides tiring training and diets, there's also other rules they need to follow in order to suceed as an idol, and that is avoiding any dating rumours + dating anyone. It's kinda sad that k-pop idols have to avoid contact with other k-pop idols to avoid dating scandals.

I'm against k-pop and musical labels exactly for this reason, but most ppl just turn a blind eye to all of this crap (´;︵;`)
