The sound quality is honestly very good for both. I don't know if anyone else here still uses them but they're pretty nice. I'll usually use my Cassette players for on the go and Vinyl records for at home. I also repair these types of devices. Currently been learning about VCR's and how to get those working again. May be useless information but it's a fun hobby honestly.
Anyone else use any of these media types?

I listen to cassettes in my car as well as with a portable player. They are great, especially for songs actually released around the time period they were in use. There is a shop near where I live that sells cassettes and vinyl, all sorts of goodies in good condition!
If there is no option to use those, then I will listen to CDs on a CD Walkman. Track indexing is a good feature for CDs.
Agreed, their sound quality is good, though yeah susceptible to degradation.

Cassette is so unpopular lately but I still love it! I have a cassette deck and have a bunch of blank tapes
I use cd’s and mp3’s more frequently but sometimes collecting vinyl albums and downloading blank tapes is a whole load of fun :p
