endacopia demo

making a game review because i really want to do blog entries on here but i dont have much going on in my life lol

i've always really enjoyed andyland's stuff, it's so charming and pleasing to the eye

ive been subbed to him for a couple years or so, and i even saw his announcement video for endacopia, but i'm only just now playing it because. i love to put things off. and i saw fanart on my tumblr dashboard (thank you gaby bwoooom) and i was like Damnnn that looks good so! here i am now

the demo is super short, maybe half an hour at most? i have adhd so i can't calculate measures of passed time with any level of accuracy sorry. but WOW it's good

the animations are all so fun and bouncy, and the character designs are perfect as usual. look at this cute sign

the visuals even switch between the default 2d to 3d for closeups. there's tons of fun little effects you can set off that do nothing except move around and make sound in funny ways, and it really wouldn't be the same without them

the world in endacopia is very strange, and while it's often silly, it can be equally (if not more so) unsettling and hostile. so the best kind of setting

i'm definitely not the first person to play and enjoy this demo as evidenced by the fully funded kickstarter BUT idk i just wanted to share a cool little game here to anyone who might be interested :} check it out. i can't wait for the full thing man
