Lost Media Analysis: They Might Be Giants Rabid Child Music Video

Today I'll be talking about the partially found but mostly lost piece of TMBG media. It's the music video for the song, Rabid Child, which appeared on TMBG's debut album.

Origin: TMBG's Rabid Child music video was partially shown in the rock documentary, Gigantic: A Tale Of Two Johns. The portion of the music video features John Flansburgh singing into a camera and grabbing onto a wall, while John Linnell is wearing an oddly shaped red hat while playing the accordion. The music video also featured Bill Krauss, Flansburgh and Linnell wearing cardboard masks and dancing strangely.

Song Analysis: Rabid Child is a song that is about a child who communicated with passing truckers via a CB radio. The song is likely a thematic parody of the song, Teddy Bear by Red Sovine.
