When the symphony plays
Its beautiful song
And when the soloist
Sings her vibrato filled opera
I can’t keep my eyes off you
I cannot tear my eyes
From your beautifully concentrated face
Your flute balanced delicately
Against your lip
She sings about love
And I can only stare at you
The song crescendoes
And I wish I was running into your arms
And letting you hold me
When the symphony plays
No matter who is performing
Whether it be a piano soloist
A The Beatles cover group
Or an opera singer
I will never be able to tear my eyes from you
It breaks my heart
To know you didn’t stay after the show
Because you thought no one would come
