Moraine Park and Dog Beach, Highland Park

The restoration of the walking path to the Moraine Park Dog Beach in Highland Park, Illinois, which was washed out in 2019 due to historic flooding in the area, is nearing completion. To celebrate, I felt I would create this blog entry documenting my early visits to Moraine Park. This park was some of the earliest nature adventures on my channel. Just looking for an easy way to access a Lake Michigan beach, I was totally surprised and fascinated by the ravine. I had a lot of fun exploring the area and the old stone bridge which I hope survived the restoration. BTW, rumor is the path may officially open as early February 2023! I am keeping a close eye on their update page and will vlog it as soon as possible! :-)
