I know christmas has passed but it's always a good time to make a pentagram with ornaments and tinsel and pray to santa to get started on your xxxmas wishlist,

I find using an offering of burnt gingerbread men and women to be very helpful.

You'll know you've performed the ritual correctly when your Elf on the Shelf starts cackling from the basement and your neighbors infant begins crying loudly and won't stop.
