Creepypasta Analysis: Squidward's Suicide/Red Mist

(WARNING: There are mentions of suicide and murder in this.)

In this entry, I'll be talking about a very well known creepypasta that is known as Squidward's Suicide or Red Mist. (Most of this is from Wikipedia, please don't attack me for plagiarism.) 

Squidward's Suicide is told from the perspective of someone who interned at Nickelodeon Studios in 2005 as an animation student. The student and some coworkers had gotten a tape to edit that was titled "Squidward's Suicide" for the show, Spongebob Squarepants. The staff assumed it was a prank. In the firsthand account, Squidward is preparing for a concert. After Squidward finishes playing at the concert, the crowd jeers. The next shows Squidward forlornly sitting on a bed while strange and unsettling noises play and become louder. The scene is spliced with quick flashes of murdered children, each time the noises get louder when cutting back to Squidward --- now having red 'hyper realistic' eyes. Eventually, Squidward shoots himself after a detached, deep voice commands him to do so. The video then ends.
