since i could only get a permit this semester and not both this and the prior, i could also not get the on-campus commuter parking that happens to be basically right next to my classes (sad). this means i park at the nearby garage, which adds an extra nearly ten minutes to the walk to my classes. however, the good news is that the garage now works, as opposed to before. the permit says i gained access since the first of january, and the customer service let me through, but the license-plate reader didn't before today. was very worried i would have to go through that whole spiel again.
in other news, i have a professor i had last year again. which i was surprised to see, considering i know that last spring he gave his dissertation. guess he enjoyed teaching enough to stay? i wonder if he'll wear the same blue sports hoodie again.

the walk from the garage to campus would be faster if you instead skateboarded.
i did the math and it wouldn't be by much so i have decided no (especially no on a windy day such as yesterday & today)
