first week of 2023...

And now we are in the first week of 2023. 

Yay?

This week has been painfully slow but not without its one good point: THE WEATHER HAS BEEN GORGEOUS! Every day pretty much in the mid/high 60s, mostly sunny days, but a couple of days with thick fog. Hey, anything is better than snow!!

Is it me or when the ball dropped on Dec 31, 2022, that there was a feeling of "eh"? Anyone I talked to pretty much said that it felt very uneventful. I hope that doesn't mean the rest of the year will be as blase.

I'll make sure it doesn't!!

Rehearsals with my band will commence on Wednesday. Can't wait to sink my teeth back into the new songs. If all goes well, there will be nine new songs on the album. This morning I was listening to other rough demos and a couple went bye-bye. They might re-appear in the future but for now, I think the 'theme' of this album will be one of VERY HEAVY!!! I make sure there's groove and melodies, as people need to tap their foot or bang their head to something. But the songs I pushed aside just didn't fit the bill. That's okay. I am better at editing myself than in the past.

Now to get rid of this damn cough.
