Some animes I've been watching while on break from college!

I've had the last two week's off from college, so I haven't really messed with my SpaceHey that much. I got distracted with a lot of stuff I haven't been able to do while in school I want to lol. I mean, I even finally got past the water temple on my N64 copy of Ocarina Of Time!

Warning, spoilers below (obviously)

Most animes in this list are pretty retro except for one. I'm a sucker for any anime that was made in the late 80s to the late 90s.

I began watching Record Of Lodoss War which was made in the 1990s. It's pretty great if you like DnD fantasy type stuff like me! The anime gives me a really big Lord of the Rings vibe which is perfect for me because those books and movies are awesome in my opinion!

My friend also pointed out that the dwarf in it is named Ghim which is a little too close to Ghimli from Lord of the Rings, but I'm gonna ignore that fact because the plot and every character is pretty original. Also the way Ghim personality and stuff is similar to Ghimili a little, but I feel all dwarfs are generally kinda represented the same way. (Funny strong angry small miner go yarg) Also Deedlit has to be one of my favorite representations of an elf so far. xD

The other anime I began watching is Neon Genesis Evangelion. I don't have much to say about it yet mainly because I'm still on episode 2. Sorry xD. I like it so far though.

I'll admit I'm not much of a big mecha fan, but it's starting off from a pretty good plot so I'm intrigued to continue watching it. I kinda started watching it because it seems like a staple of 90s era anime I'm missing out on. I don't really have anything to say on it so far, but the animation is pretty great. I'll have to make an update on it as I continue watching. Also from what I seen the characters are pretty likeable as well.

Another anime I actually finished watching is called Dragon Half. I heard it mentioned in this anime dictionary thing my grandmother bought me for Christmas. In the book it said it was a comedy parody on DnD so it sounded interesting to me. By the way, Dragon Half is extremely short (Only 2 episodes). So don't watch if you don't want to be wishing there was more afterwards like me xD.

At first the characters seem overly hyper; which I'm not gonna lie, almost made me stop watching. But it was really late at night and I was kinda just watching for something to be on while I fell asleep. Well I'm happy I didn't because this has to be one of the most funniest animes I've ever seen! The jokes are nonstop with a lot of slapstick humor as well. The anime quickly switches from realistic anime to chibi as well which was pretty neat. Usually I don't like chibi anime art style, but it was actually perfect for this.

To finish off my list of animes I'm currently watching, I bring up Chainsawman. Now as mentioned before, I'm a sucker for retro anime. But saying that, I also mean I mostly watch retro anime. Not that I'm old or anything. (I'm only 20) I just have a hard time getting into newer animes. I prefer the artstyle of older animes more as well.

Going back to my friend mentioned earlier, he is the one who got me into it. I wasn't too interested at first but why the heck not. I'm really happy I watched it though. I am currently on episode 6. I love the story, artstyle, and characters! I didn't go in expecting much, but as soon as episode 1 was over, I was expecting the following episodes to be just as good. I was hooked from the start xD. I won't say much about this anime now only because it's pretty new, so I figured most people still haven't seen it or are looking into it.

Besides animes, I've also been investing my free time into Rune Factory 4, Spyro Reignited Triology, and SOA: Fatal Bullet. Anyways thanks for reading this if you did lol, have a great day!
