Different things work for different people but here's what worked for me.
Use this site: https://postimages.org/. This site hosts images. You can create an account but you don't have to in order to use it.
Just upload the image you want to use. Once the image uploads, use the second link. It's labeled direct link. You can see below that I've highlighted it.
Copy that link. Paste it into the insert image option. Voila!
After trying multiple suggestions, this method works best for me. Let me know in the comments if it works for you. Also, feel free to share other things that work for you.

thanks for sharing this! I tried to upload stuff directly from my old laptop and phone and neither of those options worked here! I was so annoyed with that, but I'll try this.
