I wasn't expecting to want to post something like this on here, but i thought it might be appreciated.
A lonely man looked through the loneliest of voids
His heart ached in a way all too familiar
For he was bound to step into this void once again
For the hundredth time
As the lonely man took his steps towards the void
He felt a tug at the side of his shoulder
at first, he saw a bright light
but his eyes got used to seeing it in dull colors
A new voice spoke to him, unfamiliar but warm
"Stay. I like talking to you."
The persons words took him by surprise.
"...But I'm so used to people getting bored of me by now."
The loneliest of men responded, his idle crown slipping from its place
as the person gave him warmth instead of a shivering freeze,
the void led to somewhere much nicer
A place he had never been to before
But he considered it a welcome surprise,
for he was no longer a lonely man.
But he held onto his crown none-the-less
as old habits never seem to truly fade
