Sure, on the exercises, but probably more so posture!
How you sit (or stand), how you position the guitar against your body, and how your hands are positioned.
If you're feeling the pain in your wrists especially, you could be headed for carpal tunnel or tendonitis if you don't take this seriously.
Tension also plays a part. Take it from an old classical guitarist who had all sorts of shoulder problems from tension while playing.
