Pokemon Scarlet and the how the games should be viewed

For me, Pokemon Scarlet is one of the most immersive Pokemon games I have ever played. The open and colourful world of the Paldea region, unforgettable characters including your rival Nemona, an immersive story that ties everything together and the gameplay "innovations" (I use this word lightly I know) that significantly decreased the tedium associated with the Pokemon games, when you consider all those can we really argue that Pokemon Scarlet is a bad game? From a technical standpoint, yes, this game has plenty of framerate and graphical issues and I am not denying it. And also I think delaying the game could have significantly reduced the previously mentioned issues. However, even though I acknowledge such technical shortcomings I cannot say that Pokemon Scarlet is a game that lacks love and life. Also led me to question how we view the games.

Most of the time, we would not view a painting or a piece of artistic media as a purely technical construct and appreciate its mistake. Even depending on the work, we can view those so-called "mistakes" as expressions of "stylistic choices". Why we cannot say the same thing for video games too? Mostly such a mindset occurred to me when I watch ThorHighHeels videos. And I assumed they mentioned it a couple of times too.

If we view something as an art, we should appreciate the mistakes/shortcomings it can manifest too. Desiring the perfection can only reproduce overpolished turd like Ubisoft games.
