Phones these days are slower to type on then back then*

I remember back in the day when I use to have a phone with a whole entire keybord built into it. Like a BlackBerry (tho not even from the same company). And honestly I could type so fast my phone would late behind by like an entire sentence or two. Maybe I was just typing too fast for what the phone could handle but it was always fun to watch the phone catch up eventually. And now that I have a touch screen its like. So different now because it always catches up with what I'm typing. But honestly I use to type a HELL of a lot faster with the button phone. Mostly because I remember the button layout by memory then actually watch what I'm typing. Funny how things like that change the speed of how someone types. Guess what I'm trying to say is what's better? Honestly I would love to have a button phone again just for the speed. But I dont think anyone sells those kinds of phones anymore. Anyone have any ideas where a little goth like me can get some of that typing action back again?
