numb? why would they say numb
that's neither here nor there
unsure? yes, that is closer to the truth

have we done well enough?
no, doing well shouldn't hurt
at least that's what they say

jealous? stop screaming that word
we wouldn't pray to go away because of jealousy
needy? good god do you really think of us that way?

having needs isn't a crime
go away, leave your disgust in the car
being alive isn't an insult to your attempts

cold? might be, when nothing feels real
worried? yeah, for others, they keep me awake
depressed? no, no, it's only the lack of feeling right?

we can't be depressed, the word is so overused
we can't be unhealthy while doing better than others
we can't be rebellious when its unlogical 

logic is stable, lets us see clearly
logic takes away the way to be stupid
hope it won't come for us when we are twenty
