It's the time of year where everyone is focused on a red-suited man, time with family, cold weather, and the end of the current year. For me, that focus includes something new this year.
Since this past spring, I've been adventuring through my own identity journey as I work on truly accepting the female side of me. It's let me a lot of places, forged a lot of new friendships, and made me very happy. The next big step starts soon because...
I FINALLY HAVE HEALTH COVERAGE!
Yesterday marked the arrival of my employer health cards. Ones I can use with a regional LGBTQ+ healthcare provider nonetheless. This journey is finally taking me somewhere and I'm excited. At times, that also includes nervousness and worry, but I have a great group of friends to support me along the way.
So here goes! The next chapter is starting!
