Embers Diary #4: Sick Diary.

Hello, again! I'm happy to say that I am (almost) done with being sick!


The bad news? I think my dad caught what I had.


To anyone out there currently struggling with the flu or anything similar, here's what helped me!


1.) Lots of fluids! I would drink one of those BIG BodyArmor drinks and at least 1 liter of water on top of that. This made sure that I had a decent amount of the nutrients I needed.

2.) Warm teas and soups! Taste good, and help you feel better. Add garlic for healing effects.

3.) Light meals if you're not feeling hungry. I ate mostly bland food when i felt my worst, and only recently stopped snacking on bread and crackers.

4.) Limit sugar and caffeine.

5.) Get plenty of rest!

6.) Check your temperature and follow natural remedies to reduce a fever (unless the fever lasts over a day or two).

7.) Again, plenty of rest! I only began feeling better again when i stopped working myself to death while i was sick.


This was also what made me decide to quit my second job! I couldn't work multiple jobs being as sick as i was-- and with me getting sick as often as i do, i couldn't see myself working multiple places much longer.


I was sick for a total of 2 weeks. Worst 2 weeks of my life.
