I was standing there
With my flute in hand
When she looked my way
Over the music stand
I couldn’t look away
I had to stare
At her sea green eyes
And light brown hair
She tucked her hair
Behind her ear
And furrowed her brows
As she tried to hear
She looked back at me
And as I played
She gave a thumbs up
My cheeks turned a red shade
I couldn’t look away
From her beautiful smile
From her painted lips
I knew I’d know her a while
So I would watch her
From afar
And maybe one day
She’d take me back to her car
And I could hold her
As I’ve dreamed of doing
But these emotions
May be my undoing

If she read this,
She would be yours right away,
She would whisper in your ear,
While the world slipped away
"Your poem was lovely,
Light and sweet",
"It was truly amazing
It made my heart skip a beat".
