Question for Japanese Learners

Any advice for studying writing in Japanese? I have a study pal over zoom, and we often do flashcards to learn the Kanji and stuff, and while there are quite a few ways for us to practice our recognition, it's kind of difficult for us to know how to practice actually writing the kanji based on sound or meaning, particularly since there are no teachers/professors to run it.

Any suggestions? Screen sharing is an option btw.

I suggest WaniKani, it's a site for kanji flashcards and studying along with vocabulary and radicals. (the bits that make up the kanji) They use spaced repetition which gives you certain things to study at certain times. It's probably not great if you're really busy but it's ok if you're a bit off about times as long as you try, i think.

How much is it? I could maybe check it out he remarked casually, feigning disinterest.

Sounds good! Can you also use it to practice writing from memory? My friend and I use Anki (I believe that's what it's called?), which is pretty good, but I'll be sure to check this out if it seems different enough (even still though, I can still use it on my own, since we mostly use screenshare to use Anki XD)

It's free for up to level 4, which doesn't sound like a lot but it kind of is because of how much content you get for free before that. It should last a while.
