strange things in my bedroom

so i was recently redesigning my room and it reminded me of some strange things i remember about it when i first moved in. all of this spans to when i was 5-10ish so some of the experiences i say might be unclear.

so first thing i noticed that was weird about it was the general feeling of the room, which felt somewhat like you weren't truly alone. although i think it's crucial to mention i have an anxiety disorder and possibly ASD, so it could also be that. but either way, there was this strange feeling whenever i was alone in there. it got so bad to the point where i'd sleep in my parents bed for most of the time. i used to think there was someone, or something, in there with me that wanted to harm me. it was pretty bad for the first few years.

after a while, i took notice to other things. sometimes i'd wake up with scratches on my face, sometimes in the middle of the night. there was nothing that could have caused this, they were too small to have one of my dogs be the culprit, and they didn't even sleep in my bed. this lasted until i was about 10, when suddenly it stopped, as if either i grew up and realized it was me being paranoid, or if something had left.

has anyone had any similar experiences with this? i haven't really discussed this with anyone so any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you!

It was the sleep paralysis demons.

In all seriousness, though, I have experienced similar things; I'd be in my room and wake with scratches on my arms. However, this probably was the mess of my cat, Wilco. Not sure what can be a possible issue, though. If the culprit can't be your dogs... maybe it's something to look into, with people who may know more than me.
