"he asked and now I'm ashamed"

somehow being awake is worse than stressful
done something that is oh-so shameful
in the middle of the night when nobody looked

exasperated gasps pleading for air
infuriated people connected said shame
why would he say that we'll be okay?

sure there is warmth to said words,
but then for once honesty shot:
the hope of all parties as they got creeped out

feeling me isn't enough
but he corrected himself this time
progress slow yet fun
just wish to express my needs in a way less dumb
