Friday 16th December 2022 // Last day of school!

I came into school a bit before registration and gave my gift to my friend. I had already given her homemade cookies, but that was 3 weeks ago so it didn't really feel special. I gave her 2 plushies that have just been sitting on my desk for god knows how long, and I know she likes stuffed animals; so I gave her a Minecraft ocelot and a penguin, as well as some random candles that have been sitting on a shelf unused and this fancy little container with a lego banana inside. I didn't have a box that would fit all this in, so I used some random container and wrapped it in fabric. She liked it, so that's good.

There wasn't any lessons today so we had a party in the first half. People had brought snacks in (mainly chocolate). My teacher brought in tangerines and grapes, but nobody ate them. I was trying my hardest not to raid all the chocolate as I know I will feel sick afterwards. I did feel sick afterwards despite not raiding them but that was probably due to all the Pringles I was eating. Oh yea, my friend brought 2 tubes in but only one was eaten so she gave me the other tube to take home.

People then cleared out their lockers (I didn't bring a bag so I just left all my books in my locker.) At this point people were coming upstairs and playing kahoots while Christmas music played in the background. I was busy drawing a hot anime vampire woman in my notebook and according to my friend: the way I draw anatomy makes all my characters underweight. But then again, anime isn't supposed to be the most realistic so.

We then had to go to some hour long assembly. I was behind everyone else so when I got into the main hall, the only free seat was surrounded by those annoying loud introverts who scream a lot. The first bit of the assembly was so boring that I fell asleep in my chair. Then the slideshow that recapped what happened in 2022. It was mainly celebrity news with some good ol' British politics chucked in. But the crowd went wild over some of the slides, I swear to god how the hell can people scream so loud. Then a 12 days of Christmas music video was shown. It was edited by some random students, and it really showed. Basically each verse was badly sung by teachers from a certain department: like the french teachers sung the "3 french hens" line and the main cheef in the lunch hall held up 2 milk cartons at the "8 maids are milking line" and it was pretty funny. Especially the last bit where the entire science department were banging on every drum in the music department before cutting to one of the music teachers playing the bagpipes in the middle of the field (in -7*C btw). Then the teachers got onto the stage and preformed (or tried to) the pantomime "mother goose". I don't remember the plot to the fairy-tale; but I don't think it was about trying to find a golden goose so they don't have to sell the headteacher to afford to heat the drama department. My favourite part was when the strict teacher that everyone hates 'cause she's really picky about sock colour and skirt length; went to the evil queens and gave them detention for bullying, dress coded the fairy god-mother and told a couple of the main characters to remove their makeup. And the fact that none of the teachers knew their lines as they were holding the script in their hands the entire time, and how low budget it was, just made it even funnier.

Then I suited up for the freezing cold and left the school. Nothing really interesting happened after that: I made pasta for lunch then watched random crap on YouTube while contemplating my life decisions. Over the holidays I want to get past that one boss in OMORI and make actual progress on my game.
